Dead Sea Salt Scrub

Himalayan and Dead Sea salts: mineral rich; absorbs dirt, grime, and toxins; cleanses your pores

Sunflower oil: good for all skin types, but especially combination, oily, sensitive, and acne prone; moisturizing, softening, and protecting; soothing to irritated and dry skin

Jojoba seed oil: closely resembling our own skin's sebum, this beloved wax is a quick-absorbing powerhouse for detoxing, balancing, soothing, protecting, and moisturizing skin

Sodium cocoyl isethionate: surfactant known as "baby foam" because it is so mild; derived from coconut; a soap-free cleansing agent, it helps water to mix with oil and dirt so that they can be rinsed away

Cetearyl olivate & sorbitan olivate: a PEG-free, biodegradable emulsifier derived from olive oil, it helps oils and butters mix with water; validated by COSMOS (COSMetic Organic and Natural Standard); accepted by Ecocert; hydrating, soothing, and repairing to the skin

Cetyl alcohol: not to be confused with drying alcohols, cetyl alcohol is derived from a fat such as vegetable oil or coconut oil; it stabilizes and thickens formulas; hydrating, conditioning, and softening to the skin

Dead sea clay: absorbs excess dirt, oil, and impurities; exfoliates to remove dead skin; soothes itchiness and inflammation; tightens and tones the skin

Kelp powder: anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory; exfoliates, cleanses, brightens, and smoothes the skin

Gluconolactone & sodium benzoate: COSMOS and Ecocert accepted, a natural broad spectrum preservative; combines two organic acids that work together to provide long-lasting and effective protection from the growth of bacteria and fungi

Vitamin E: anti-oxidant properties slow the oxidation of ingredients in a product, and also fight free radicals and skin damage from the environment; anti-inflammatory properties may soothe and heal skin

Put a small amount of scrub in your hand and mix with a little water until it turns into a paste. Massage over wet areas of the body to exfoliate. Continue to massage and rinse under water until the scrub no longer remains and the skin feels moisturized.

Essential oils are diluted to a total of 1% in this product, and are safe for children over two years old. These essential oils are generally regarded as safe, with no contraindications, but consult your doctor if you have any concerns.

This product does contain an ECOCERT and COSMOS approved preservative for natural and organic products, since scrubs are usually used around water and with wet fingers. Even so, try not to get a bunch of water into the jar to keep bacteria from taking over your lovely scrub.
